Today, my office filed homicide charges against the former officer who shot and killed Keita O’Neil, an unarmed, Black man in 2017. As far as we are aware, this is the first time in San Francisco history that an officer has been prosecuted for homicide.

Based on my experience as a juror in SF - this is going to go 2-10 in favor of acquittal, with the other 2 coming around quickly. No way on God's Green Earth will you get 12 residents to convict. Not in a thousand centuries. The FTP crowd doesn't do much in the way of jury duty.

Please point me to the legal ruling that says cops have the right to summarily execute suspects of auto theft. Or any law anywhere in the US that carries a penalty of death for auto theft. I’ll wait.

That's not what happened though.

That suspect had a right to due process. We do not give officers the right to execute suspects who are not posing any direct and definite danger to anyone. The Supreme Court has ruled it is not legal to shoot a suspect just for fleeing. This cop deserves those charges. Period.

Sounds like the carjacker has a right to due process, but you don't see the need when it comes to the officer. Do I have that right?

The officer being charged, getting a trial and having a jury of his peers hear his defense is the LITERAL DEFINITION of due process, you fucking numpty. The officer *IS* receiving the due process he didn’t afford to his suspect he executed. Honestly, are you an idiot or what?

Ok, so your position is, he's innocent until proven guilty. Because you seem to have said the opposite.
