I've watched the first six episodes of Star Trek: Picard season 3 and wow, it's an entirely different show than the first two seasons and the most exciting Trek yet. The returning characters are so awesome and long overdue! #StarTrekPicard

Looking at random images from different leaks and overall, I have to admit, Destiny 1 did a number on the industry, but like... with a bit of a lag? I kind of want to interview that original UI designer and ask, "How does it feel to be the trendsetter almost a decade later?"

Sony Pictures, walking out of the smoke: "I'm willing to admit that I may not always be right, but I am never wrong." Everyone jumping on the licensing train.

When I was reading the scans of #BlueLock, I kept going "This is really gay, but is that just the fan translator's spin on it?" Now that the show is airing, I'm like, "Nah, still pretty gay."

These are words from a person who loves FFXIV, WoW, and ESO, but can only realistically play one of those at a time. And that's outside of stuff like Assassin's Creed Valhalla, which is like 100+ hours.

TL;DR: you best bet isn't to compete with established service games, it's to offer experiences folks can enjoy for a time away from those games. 20, 30, 40 hours and they get to put it down. You won't make *infinite money* but you can make money!

Their mainstay might be terrible and they might spend all day complaining about it, but it also has all their friends, progression, skins, and etc. If anything, your best hope is to be the game they vacation to away from the service game. "I need a break, I'll play this."

Especially when you're jumping into a space with existing service games, you need to be way better or vastly different, because users will *start* by thinking about what they'll lose by switching from their mainstay. Especially if they've been playing X for years.

The problem with making so many lifestyle service games is then players can only really enjoy 1-2 of them at a time, and if you're not one of the chosen ones already, getting folks to switch is very hard.

It seems like my first TikTok/YT Shorts thing will probably be explaining on these DC heroes in Chapter One, because even my YT mainstays don't know who they are.

I mean, this is a good list of comics.

We're talked a lot about Woman of Tomorrow, but these are more of the comics inspiring #DCStudios and the new #DCU in these early days. That doesn't mean we're adapting all these comics, but that the feel, the look, or the tone of them are touchstones for our team. Check 'em out!

There's nothing I love more than the Gundam Curve: the further you move down the timeline, the more Gundams devolve into "mess of spiky bits".

Random thought: The Green Lantern show is called "Lanterns" because they're gonna mess around with the other Corps in the emotional spectrum. If you did not know this was a thing, I'm sorry.
