Dear @YouTube how would you recommend I dispute a copyright claim that involves someone who happened to use the same piece of music or play the same video game as I did & now your system is monetizing my videos & giving them the $$$? 1/6

I’m not a creator, but even I can see this has become a huge problem and is just getting abused to an alarming degree. They get away with doing so little because they are so big. Wish there was a good alternative that would still allow you to be fairly compensated.

I don't monetize most of my videos & I've no problem w/ legit copyright owners making $$$ off of their music or video games in my videos. But there should be a way for me to report to
@YouTube when it looks like a mistake in their system, not a legit claim.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

Thanks for your feedback – You can always appeal claims if your dispute is rejected. We take abuse very seriously and will also pass the report along for you: https://yt.be/help/LKJN . Hope this helps clarify.

Yeah, sure, and if the claimant rejects my appeal, they "can ask us to remove your video from YouTube, and you'll end up with a copyright strike." You expect me to risk that in a process @YouTube doesn't even monitor or arbitrate? I don't think so.pic.twitter.com/el6UUP8x1r
