Dear @YouTube how would you recommend I dispute a copyright claim that involves someone who happened to use the same piece of music or play the same video game as I did & now your system is monetizing my videos & giving them the $$$? 1/6

Thanks for the info – sometimes, it can be hard to understand why a rights owner has claimed your video, but that doesn’t mean they’re not authorized to do so. If you believe the claim was made in error, you can always dispute: https://yt.be/help/LKJN Hope this gets resolved.

Yes, I filed a dispute. As I said, the problem isn't that I don't understand copyrights, it's that there's no option to say "I think the YouTube system made a mistake." And leaving it up to the person making $$$ off of my video isn't a fair process.
