(2/4) Our teams spent the last few days conducting an in-depth review of the videos flagged to us, and while we found language that was clearly hurtful, the videos as posted don’t violate our policies. We’ve included more info below to explain this decision:

(3/4) As an open platform, it’s crucial for us to allow everyone–from creators to journalists to late-night TV hosts–to express their opinions w/in the scope of our policies. Opinions can be deeply offensive, but if they don’t violate our policies, they’ll remain on our site.

(4/4) Even if a video remains on our site, it doesn’t mean we endorse/support that viewpoint. There are other aspects of the channel that we’re still evaluating– we’ll be in touch with any further updates.

He makes his money selling "Socialism is for Fags" shirt and tries to claim it says "figs." He doesn't need your monetization. We need you to actually live up to your harassment policies and not just offer lip service.

2) it's a risky joke becasue its politically targeted, meaning it's made knowing full well that those who's politics it mocks will not look past the erroneous assumption - making the joke all that more funnier for those who get it

3) this means if you take offense then you become the butt of the joke - and what's worse is the more you express your offense at the erroneous assumption and spread it, the more people will find the controversy funny, be drawn to
@scrowder 's comedy and ultimately buy this shirt1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes
4) there's no such thing as bad press, this whole controversy is likely selling more of his shirts then ever before
