No one will ever convince me having breakable weapons in Breath of The Wild was a good idea

The weapon economy would've been genuinely meaningless without them. It also made the Master Sword feel significant in a way it never has before.

1. I don't care about that 2. If they were gonna do it they should have made it so weapons can be used for more than 1 or 2 encounters

There's certainly an argument for making tweaks to weapon availability and lifespan, but I think the gameplay loop of "find a weapon -> use a weapon -> find a new weapon" was engaging, and weapon-breaking meant they didn't need to implement a power creep system to make it work

This is coming from someone that hates weapon degradation in just about every game I've ever played (Oblivion mainly), but Breath of the Wild was the first game where I thought they really did it right

I'm still not convinced. When I'm trying to play through a game and find a cool weapon I don't wanna have to not use it because I know it'll break after fighting two enemies. There are plenty of better ways to get around power creep. It's just annoying for me
