Would have loved a capsule hotel. Have been actively looking for shared dorm style housing as well for students (longer term). No idea re:regulatory but please do it. I love the idea

My experience: everything I own in one suitcase, here’s my sleeping situation. Would shower at YMCA and work at coworking space. $300/mo personal burn. If you could combine the two you’d fill it 100% and make SF possible again. http://www.slate.com/blogs/quora/2013/08/01/financing_a_startup_i_lived_in_my_car_to_save_money.html …pic.twitter.com/hq3UWxMtiM

Hardest part was I had no fridge and nonperishable food is loaded with carbs and sodium. Was hungry often.

Congrats on both 😄😄😄 Must've been an exciting time This gets to an important drawback—hard to choose this lifestyle if you have a significant other/family or want to date. Was that a challenge?

I was engaged already and she stayed in Utah. That would be a trade off, yes, both the social stigma perspective and the nowhere to take someone home to perspective. Thinking of optimizing that, only n% of the time are you sleeping with someone, so if you had one communal.. jk

Maybe it isn’t that crazy to have a bigger room or two that cost a little more that you could reserve from time to time

Yeah as comparables there are definitely shared dorms in SF that are constantly booked out. And there’s a whole spectrum between dorm and pod hotel, too. Tiny tiny studios would be interesting.

If you had tiny studios that crammed people in I would fill them right now
