It's definitely in that direction, and is also a great business model that's aligned with the success of students. AFAIK they teach people but don't help them find jobs, but I could be wrong.

Would this model work for any high paying industry that’s growing? Retraining in general strikes me as a huge market eg does (say) biotech require too much background knowledge, and therefore too much tuition floated, to work at the same scale?

Let's just say we have a list of 75 things we want to teach and a data science team finding hiring gaps for us to fill. Will launch 4 more courses by Jan.

LambdaCollege here we come! ;) I love the idea of funneling the curricula into the growth of the org too. eg data science students get real world experience by doing the data science work to find the best hiring gaps for the next new course

Then there's the question of what if you could chain together 3 or 4 programs together, while working, and get an accredited degree for it
