Free startup idea: It's terribly annoying to register your company in new states. Have to register with secretary of state, then unemployment, workers comp, registered agent. It takes us 5+ hours per state; killer for remote company. I'd pay $500-1000/state to make it one click

you're right - I'm a moron. They only do this for benefits stuff. We have someone do this for us, but I'm with you - I'd pay any amount to do compliance as a service across the board.

It definitely doesn’t. You still have to do it all manually and just enter your of codes after you get them for each state.
