I want to create a year-ish long, (2 yrs?) full-time program that’s just applied math, software engineering and applied machine learning.

Sooo..... how valuable is the ML etc you teach in your 6/7 month program? Just convinced my brother to apply to lambda instead of continuing software engineering at a university. Mistake?

there's too much stats+AI and not enough stats+systems imo

eg: you need both stats and systems skill to be able to apply sketching and streaming algorithms correctly

At what point do you lose industry relevance in your curriculum the same way universities do? I guess you’d probably be feeding a “living breathing curriculum” vs a static curriculum. 2 years is more expense without income as well. That becomes a barrier for some with kids...
