Depends. Are you selling the material or the community. If the community, how does a la carte affect that?

Just an after hours, shorter-term community

If community makes Lambda School successful, will you be able to replicate that with shorter timeframe & fewer hours / week?

So much this. I'm sure any individual course could be "sold" a la cart for people seeking a "certificate" for employment or promotion. Payment up front, though?

I personally looked into your offerings last week, mostly for remedial coursework. My biggest issue is the current programs time requirements don’t mesh well with my work scheduling where I have 12 hour shifts 3-4 days a week. Wish there was something like a weekend program.

I do love the purpose behind what you’re doing. Good work As a former developer I feel like I shouldn’t need the service but I liked your earnestness towards the effort and thought it may help me find jobs. That’s what caused me to look into it and discover that timing issue.

Did you see the recent posting of a guy who made it by building Alexa skills? Sounds like a potential course set

Evidently Alexa skills are coding programs that make Alexa do things, like turn off lights etc. Anyway, was an interesting coding topic that I say recently

So, would this expand your market? Would this also be a Gateway Drug to the longer course? Have u identified the low hanging fruit / course?

From a curriculum perspective this may or may not make sense depending upon how it is designed. You're most likely stuck building modular and not interdisciplinary courses if you do this.

Yes. There are lots of pros out there who would love top-tier a la carte courses to help them expand into new areas of specialty.
