This is a great thread but you know "federal financial assets" is not the same as "federal assets," right? "Financial assets" is not including real estate, military equipment, etc.

My only end is the public service forgiveness option, of which I’m about 30% close to qualifying for.

Better be careful with this. My daughter completed all requirements and someone at the loan office FORGED HET SIGNATURE, put her into forbearance without her permission, was denied. She's had to file criminal charges against them, still has to pay.
