It's crazy to me that Lambda School actually works. We train people free. Online. They finish. They learn to program. They get jobs. They pay back.

Challenge. Can they do it (similar model) for other things besides programming? This nation needs to change the employer paradigm quicker.

I would like to hear ideas. More alternatives—>more acceptance—>more opportunities, lower cost. I like what @DiscoverPraxis and @MissionU are doing, but will the super selective model actually scale?

Not sure accepting <10% of applicants is the best way to get employers on board. But I get it. The best of the best will validate those programs overall.

      I think that’s mostly a facade. It’s hard *not* to accept < 10%

That’s what those programs are currently promoting. We had 5000 applicants, only accepted 100 (not real numbers, but you get the idea). They are really new, so...

At @DiscoverPraxis we do this for non-tech careers. We don't brag about acceptance rates because we don't care. We want to work with as many people as we can help. It can, will, and is scaling.

Issac thanks for clarifying. I think that the more people that get on board, the quicker we can break down paradigms in multiple industries. Years not decades, I hope.

Yeah, I don’t have a dog in this fight (don’t work in higher ed OR an education alternative). Just hoping for alternatives for my kids, now in high school and middle school.
