Challenge. Can they do it (similar model) for other things besides programming? This nation needs to change the employer paradigm quicker.

I would like to hear ideas. More alternatives—>more acceptance—>more opportunities, lower cost. I like what
@DiscoverPraxis and@MissionU are doing, but will the super selective model actually scale? -
Not sure accepting <10% of applicants is the best way to get employers on board. But I get it. The best of the best will validate those programs overall.
-
I think that’s mostly a facade. It’s hard *not* to accept < 10%
-
That’s what those programs are currently promoting. We had 5000 applicants, only accepted 100 (not real numbers, but you get the idea). They are really new, so...
-
Ya that’s meaningless
-
How so? Because they are new?

Do you have any meaningful delinquency rate?
-
Our model does, reality doesn’t yet

Awesome. Have you been featured in
@PositiveNewsUK yet? - End of conversation

This is the beauty of Twitter. I follow
@naval who follows@AustenAllred , otherwise I wouldn't have heard about this program for a long time. It's a network where you can use the filters and heuristics of the best minds in their fields to access info, events or ideas far beyond. -
Don't think Naval follows me, but glad you heard about it!
-
You’re on a list
. -
It’s a start
@AustenAllred -
I’d rather be on a list than followed. Both on Twitter and by the government :)
-
I recently moved most of the people I follow (and intend to read) to lists. Still experimenting with the right balance.

Has anyone been reluctant to pay after getting hired? Would you really chase them down if they don’t, or what happens?
-
No one has been reluctant yet, but it's the same as a loan. All the same teeth.
-
Structured as loan capped at 30K (and going lower) could make sense, makes burden of proof is on the student showing not employed. Always wondered about this model, but now makes sense now after reading thread
-
It’s an income share agreement, not a loan, but yes
