I think you are mis-understanding OP’s business model. Lambda School takes 17% of salary for 3 years, with no interest. You don’t get a job, you don’t pay anything. Gives the ed institution skin in the game.

Let’s assume I am a brilliant young programmer with a future $250k Google job. Do I: 1. Fork over $40k/yr of my salary for three years, or 2. Borrow $40k and repay it in cash Now, as an exercise for the reader, repeat that analysis for a shitty programmer with no prospects.
