Swarms of earthquakes usually proceed the big one. Good luck out there! Glad I moved to Texas haha

Earthquakes are quick, you got hurricanes and tornadoes. Not sure I'd take those over earthquakes. Are tornadoes everywhere or just in the North?
-
Tornados in TX are throughout the panhandle and north TX. Scary part is (just like a quake) you never really know when the “big one” is coming. I’ve seen an F5 that sucked asphalt off of the highway....

Damn, that sounds terrifying and also really spectacular to watch (if I felt I were safe)
-
I was an EMT at the time, so we were staged about 15-20 miles away and went in after the all clear. It is *mind blowing* (pun intended) what an F5 can do. Pieces of completely paintless vehicles in trees miles away, trees with grass blades driven into the wood, etc. Insanity.

Yes, you're just east of the Hayward fault line so you'll feel the small ones more frequently. These small ones may be foreshocks or they may be releasing pressure and delaying a massive quake. It's currently at a 3' deficit so when it goes it's going to be huge.

Looks like you've had a bunch of sub 3.0 tremors over the last week or so in the East Bay. Locals don't even wake up until you get into the 4s, nothing to worry about.

I've been here 4 years and have never felt an earthquake. Probably just a really heavy sleeper

That sounds pretty normal. I grew up in San Francisco and earthquakes are like the scenery.
