One thing I’ve changed my mind on significantly is gun control. Obviously there’s no way to go full Australia in the US, and ya you won’t ever stop criminals from getting guns, but if you could make it even marginally more difficult that makes a huge difference
Having them stored at secure shooting ranges? Most gun owners aren’t within 100 miles of a shooting range

Will never happen in a million years. Also how do you define assault rifle? Most AR-15s aren’t technically assault rifles

An assault rifle is a selective-fire rifle that uses an intermediate cartridge and a detachable magazine. Anything that remotely resembles that definition.
