How many times a day do you flip airplane mode on and off just to force your iPhone to reattach to the cellular data network? Have been doing this since Windows Mobile phone in 2002 across every “smart” device. Someday...

That’s an iOS 11 thing. Turning it off via the “control center” is only temporary. To turn off “permanently”, you have to go thru Settings app.

I don’t get good cell service at my house. Everywhere else I want it turned off. It’s a special hell.
