Right now everything is effectively underwritten at a federal level, so you can lend to anyone with absolutely zero repercussion. Would have to change politically.

College today reminds me so much of the housing crisis in that it suckers the lower classes by convincing them it is their ticket to greener pastures. They become speculators without knowing it. Easy money is always the devil.

I know so many people that have never paid a cent back, or that only pay when they have income, and the rest of the time when they're not working they just defer indefinitely. The feds def aren't being 100% clear about how many people actually repay their student loans *in full*.

How would you fix the classical educational system not simply a really good focused coding school but one where you learn many things and become well rounded? Is it to just tell kids to go to cheaper community colleges?
