We have youtube tv and cable internet; having cable TV would be about $100/mo more. Not happening. Especially since cable company will not make service visits for days if at all.

Last time I looked internet alone was $85 a month and the bundle was $75. It made no sense, but they have to pay me to sell ads, I guess.

Same here. We don't even have a working TV to use the Cable with...

On Charter Spectrum, it's the same price as if I had only Internet - after I called and threatened to cancel. They put me on the $20 "retention" tier I can choose any ten channels on. I only watch Simpsons on FXX, though.

That was good for like a year for me, then the rates went up. You end up playing the "keep the old rate or I will cancel" game no matter what.

Same here. I have the cable box but it isn’t even hooked up.

Is that true for the long term rate too? I’ve only seen that for the promo rate, but after the promo period it becomes more expensive.

Cable and 1 cable box. Every other tv has Roku or Apple TV

Not where I live! My internet bill and Netflix is still way cheaper than cable. And I reap the Prime Video that I get from Amazon Prime (Yes, it’s $99/yr but if I think about the cost per use -personal & work- it’s really peanuts)

In my area it is cheaper if you go with the lower MBPS plan

May be more common with landlines. Only have them because of a bundle.

FiOS is offering $79.99 Triple-Play with Gigabit. Here I am a sucker with $132/month Gigabit alone. I may just have to haggle, but let's face it. I'm not going back to Comcast.

Same boat. We tried to cancel the cable portion and would be spending more if we did.

I have a Telstra TV Box still in the package it arrived in, over a year ago.

No, I'm in the same boat. Not sure how I ended up here with Comcast. If I had options other than AT&T I'd be gone in a second.

For awhile it was cheaper to get cable in my area (dc metro). It’s no longer like that as they’ve started to cave to cord cutters.
