Cable and internet together is cheaper than just buying internet?

Yes. Comcast bundles it that way frequently. We tried to get it without and it was $20/month more

Was just thinking about this today. Why does every hotel offer crappy basic cable instead of a Roku or something that I can use to sign in to my own Netflix account?
-
Stayed in a hotel in South Carolina recently and when I walked in there was a Roku temporarily signed into tree different apps for me

Did you reset the passwords just to make their lives hell?
-
I probably wouldn't sign in to my own account on a public device like that, but I like the idea of Netflix for hotels. I just want a channel playing Family Guy 24/7 so I can turn my brain off at the end of a long day.

And the packaging is reversed in other areas, rural & low income. Lower your cable bill to add internet. Makes very little sense.

Just to be clear this does not include Satellite providers though?

It’s weird how the package is cheaper that way. Never understood it.
