Views which are critical to you and performance/native control is paramount, it should be native (or react native). Other views like “Settings” can simply render a responsive, PWA in a webview. FB iOS’s “Activity Log” from your profile is an example of this.

I’m as skeptical as anyone about non-native apps, but lumping them together like there’s no difference is just silly. Uber runs fine. Instagram runs fine. Airbnb runs fine.

Common misconception that React Native compiles to Obj-c/Java. It does not, it has a live JS runtime which coordinates with the Obj-C/Java runtimes to read native input, write native output, and display native user interfaces.
