You are aware Pence supported conversion therapy, which included the use of electroshock therapy on humans?
Yes. I think that’s awful. I also think it’s not near as awful as what has happened in North Korea.

Dehumanization is dehumanization. Once you’ve accepted a part of humanity as inferior, we open the door to genocide. Every genocide in history started with rhetoric & beliefs that some part of society is acceptable to torture.
-
That’s exactly my point. There’s an enormous gap between those two things and even though they’re both bad they’re not even remotely equivalent.
-
Science doesn’t support your view. It’s all the same thing & we should be equally disgusted by both.
-
Sorry, but there's still a difference between electroshock therapy and torturing and murdering millions of people
-
You may want to check out DL Smith’s work “Less than human” or Brené Browns work. Same spectrum.
-
Again, exactly my point. You don’t see any difference between electroshock therapy and torturing political opponents to death and forcing their family to eat their remains? None at all?
-
I see it all as dehumanization. As treating another being with cruelty. The same way that animal cruelty is a slippery slope to killing.
-
There’s a reason slippery slope is a fallacy
