Jesus Christ unis and bootcamps are not the only ways to get education or training. The alternatives are not "no education" I'd like to see a quality bootcamp someday. I think in general there's just too much to learn in the time allotted and there are more efficient ways.

Further, for the nutty amount of upfront cost and risk (time and money opportunity cost) you're asking from your customers I'd at least hope something lower cost / lower risk had been tested and proven out first.

I spent years teaching and learning from/with others before I started on the book, from there we had testing rounds of material before it got released. In addition to private feedback I've taught the material in the book as paid training

I think what you should be looking at is from the perspective of your readers. Is reading your book necessarily the best way for someone to learn Haskell? What if a group of 20 ppl paid you to be with and tutor them full-time? Could that be worth the price?

At some level that's what a bootcamp *should* be (let's set aside how often that's not the case, because there are obvious scams). Multi-way learning that's responsive to particular circumstances is valuable and expensive. Learning from a book is valuable and cheap. Both are good
