so wait ... he buys and joyrides used cars. this means that raw performance isn't a real concern for him. in fact, it strikes me that his primary concern is aesthetic. i recommend not wasting effort on this and moving on.

that is a fair point. otoh, the camaro preference does reveal quite a bit about his taste - he likes american muscle cars, which are at this point not really about performance (or for that matter handling)

my rec: wait until electric muscle cars start arriving. if chevy is still around, they'll make one too. (i expect it to happen eventually given e.g. the Rimac Concept One)
