We no longer know the anonymous whistle-blower, from the paid shill, from the total wingnut. This is not accidental. The propagation of anonymous trolls is in direct correlation to the increased desire to FOOL people into thinking and acting against their own best interests.

That’s literally how the newspaper was invented. Many were created by rich people to pay shills to slander their enemies. Mixed in with earnest people fighting for what they believed.
