It’s almost as if there’s a large number of people that literally don’t make enough money to ever pay back their student loanspic.twitter.com/Pyulsyegwm

I think the solution is easy just not cheap: make college free via federal funding just keep the testing standards high and provide remedial schools for those that don’t make the mark. Those that the system doesn’t help can be served by private institutions like yours.

What you’re proposing then is to make college like public schools? That would too do absolutely nothing to control ridiculous cost growth and, like our current system, do nothing to improve results. Bravo ...👏 👏 👏

The school system is broken. Adding more red tape wont make it better.

I’ll be less asinine in this one. Currently schools spend and insane amount of money for fitness centers, rock walls, movie theaters, and other batshit crazy amenities for students to attract student loan money. What will they do when tuition is promised to all students?

Sell more pipe dreams. They literaly get away with it because students can't defualt on their loans. If they had to provide actual results so that students could pay back their loans, you'd see cheaper tuition and better curiculum.

I think that there are almost no ways to possibly control cost at this point and I don’t know the best way to move forward. A cap on how much federal student loans can be *might* help but it’s far from a guarantee. It may just keep lower income people out of college.

Start fresh. Or tie revenue to placement.

Starting fresh would be a way to go but then we would literally have to forgive all outstanding student loan debt and it becomes a guaranteed anchor on the economy.

Personaly i would start with a cap and an understanding that every year that cap would be lowered by X amount. That would give colleges time to adapt their programs and then after sya 10yrs there would be no new garuanteed loans.

Again, college is over rated. Not every job. Needs a degree.

Add a should in there. Not every job *should* require a degree but a lot that shouldn’t do and we have to see that reality. I’m not sure that businesses or governments would change their hiring practices to our new found frugality over higher education.
