It’s entirely possible and rational to believe that a. bitcoin is a very important invention that will change the world b. the current price of bitcoin is higher than it should be People seem to think it’s a binary thing. See tech 1999.

What is the price ”it should be”? 21 Millions bitcoin. If it reaches 100 Millions users and each put $21.000 in bitcoin in average, a $10 000 BTC is logical... if you raise the user base and the average amount of value... where is the “should be price” ???

Can’t continue to raise the userbase with full blocks and high fees. The Core team is currently recommending Litecoin to actually send transactions! I prefer #BitcoinCash.

A lot of this also has to do with Blockchain/currency distinction, which many don’t understanding

Very true! The concept of blockchain extends well beyond currency.

Part of the issue is the time horizon of “too high” is also incredibly personal. So people tend to think of and disagree with their definition, not yours.

What do you think a fair price is?

Fair price is around 6-8k. It was following the average block size very well. It has become unhinged since hitting the 1mb cap.

Thing is: if a) is true, 1 btc is too much. Because only 21 million will be used to measure value delivered in the entire world/internet. That's why we can, by design, divide each btc in a hundred million parts. b) can only be true if btc fails at worldwide adoption.

Few can see the value of a bubble too. The Dot-com era brought the smartest people to the Bay Area, and then pulled out the rug — all of the relationships and tacit knowledge created during the get-rich-quick fest propelled the industry to where it ishttps://twitter.com/_danielsinclair/status/934762844679229440 …

The binary rhetoric of the ‘Bitcoin Bubble’ is too simplistic. Something is not a bubble, the retrospect of its relation in time is categorized by one. Bubbles aren’t destructive, they’re reinforcing: greed propels foundational tacit knowledge & pullbacks focus. a Wave vs the Sea
