I’d disagree. I think blaming everything else outside of your control is worse. At least with blaming your faults, there’s an opportunity for reflection and growth.

I think you reversed what I was trying to say

I think the one exception might be procrastination. I’ve become convinced that “chronic” procrastination in work-related areas means you don’t care about your work and should change careers. Most “procrastinators” don’t need self-help books - they need more challenging work.

Ironically, believing the reverse is just as harmful. That only you are responsible for your success and that your circumstances played no part in the outcome.

Taking ownership is the first step to making progress on changing what needs to be fixed..

I think it's okay to attribute your faults to circumstances, at least partially, as long as you take responsibility for addressing them.

I still often revisit your story of being voluntarily homeless to have a company off it's feet. You are such an inspiration!

I agree that not taking responsibility and learning from your mistakes is not a favorable trait; but circumstances matter. E. g., Not everyone is born into a healthy family, not everyone has the same abilities. Smart to be patient with others-wise to be even more so with yourself

You can be a victim or a victor; you can’t do both. If everyone else is responsible, you have given them control of your life.

I believe that this is my fault for what circumstances i have or per say 'environment'.

For those not getting it - once you turn 18, everything that follows is owned by you. There are techniques to overcome, but a storytelling competition isn’t one of them. Some have bad family, bad society, bad luck - reevaluate & study more, as if this life matters, regardless.
