I like @LambdaSchool for the same reason Andy Warhol liked Coca-Cola: it‘s bringing education to a point where the richest consumers get essentially the same quality as the poorest.pic.twitter.com/SXrNDZrSWD

Trade school dude. Coding vs learning to be an HVAC tech. Both omit typical liberal arts subjects. Right? Or did I misunderstand the program? An education requires both. Not either or, but both and.
Does every education have to teach literally everything there is to know? If I study French is that an education if it leaves out math? Makes no sense.
Nope. I didn't take French. But I did take a couple of classics and a philosophy class. I like accounting, finance and composition and bomb calculus for a lack of interest. It's a roll your own kinda thing. But eat only one type of food and the body won't grow normally.
The word education is not synonymous with a liberal arts degree. You can get an education in karate
True, but the tweet I responded to equated education of the richest with education of the poorest. Neat concept, but factually wrong. Wealth provides the opportunity to take the time and study more stuff before getting to work.
Wealthy people [people with more time to spend]... should study liberal arts for a few years, and then attend Lambda School. Best of both worlds. But a wealthy person may not like your terms.
I disagree
Lambda student here. BS in Mechanical Engineering. Why am I saying that? Who cares, this weirdo? Don’t know if they learnt me this in college but I can say this: you talked to this guy waaaaay longer than courtesy demands.
