When I first saw a demo of VisiCalc, in 1979, I realized this is the way all software will work. I had to immediately rewrite the project I was working on.

Uber hands down has to be. Or maybe it's just taxi industry before was so bad in SF...that or Google maps. Imagine how hard it used to be wrangling physical directions.
-
The first Uber ride I ever took the driver gave me a bottle of water, offered some candy, and charged my phone. I’ve never experienced anything like it
-
Yes exactly. Guy other day gave me a bottle of water when I was definitely dehydrated. Just really thoughtful people.

Are the airpods really that good? Everyone's saying it but I'm afraid not of the form factor, but of the sound quality. I wouldn't swap them with my beats.
-
If sound quality is your #1 requirement they are not the right product for you. They're a great product and an incredible experience to use, but very far from the best audio.

Most convenient pair of headphones I’ve ever had and switching between my phone and my Mac seamlessly is my fav

Do AirPods not have negative effects on people’s eardrums? Isn’t a bigger headset better?
-
They’re no different than other earbud type headphones.

TurboTax web app, hands down.
-
the turbotax web app is the sketchiest, most conversion optimized thing I've ever used
-
it's very slick but in a way that will slide you into an upsell trap if you're not vigilant

@stripe docs and API. Holy crap it does everything it says right on the tin, and does it very well. I was shocked how right they got it, down to automatically filling in your test API key into doc code samples. No editing curl scripts, just copy and paste. Slick. -
Another vote for Stripe docs and API.

By far the
@n26 mobile app -
How so? N26 is nothing compared to
@RevolutApp -
What gives? :) N26 is great. You basically don't need to keep looking once you've got that need met.
-
Can you guys elaborate for a stupid American? What’s so great about these two?
-
Simple, clean and well-designed app. I didn't have to talk to a single human to open my account -- the whole process took about 5 min. I guess revolut, monzo and other tech-forward banks are similar. It's just a refreshing experience after years of dealing w/ "traditional" banks.
-
So it’s not really unseen ideas or executions before it’s just well done and the traditional options have the bar so so low? That’s not a dig, honestly trying to figure out if I “get it”.
-
yeah exactly, these are things that most tech companies have been doing for years but banks just didn't care. it's true that the ux bar was pretty low, but at the same time a lot of people aren't ready for changes in traditional industries, even if improves their lives.
