Or... You study&work in a country where education is for free?
-
Most of Europe. Look at skandinavia und you will get payed by the state for educating yourself because citizen with a high education are valuable for them.
-
Wait. Teachers and professors in most of Europe don’t get paid? They volunteer their time? Same with administrators and everyone else working in education?
-
(example numbers) 1) You earn 100k€ and pay 20% taxes afterwards 2) 60k€ & 10% taxes 3) You are in a dire situation and without a job: You pay nothing The more fortunate the more you can give and paying a bit more is not that bad because most things are that "free"
-
Where in Europe has free university tuition and 20% taxes?
-
Switzerland? Not entirely free but ridiculously cheap (around $500 per semester).
-
Switzerland has a 40% income tax rate. The point was if your tuition rate is subsidized by government you still pay for it.

I was going to try to defend this since I have my masters in accounting, but I can’t. Upside is pretty good on income side though, but I’m sure it is for Lamda grads as well.
-
The cost part is a bit high though on the Masters in accounting. You can get them way more affordable than $150k...That being said, love what Lamda is doing for programming/education.
-
I took it as 150 for 6 years although it only takes 5.
-
It would cost maybe $50k at
@BYU and they have one of the best accounting programs in the world. -
Putting that student a mere $500k behind
-
I think what's also important is seeing how the Lamda grads fare 3, 5, and 10 years out with regard to careers and compensation. CPA comp upside is fairly high.
-
Software engineer upside is huge. Someone making $80k as a junior will be $120-150 as a senior
-
This is too anecdotal. As the years progress it would be nice to see actual benchmarking done of Lamda grads to really see what area of the country they can earn those incomes, etc.

Or increases in salary during 6 years, unless you factored that in

Is that a one-time payment and does it have to be made in the first year?
-
You pay a percentage of salary monthly for the first two years after you get a job
-
Thank you for the quick answer. Do you think I'd be likely to be accepted into your school after completing the CS path in codecademy?
