Show me the liquidity. The reason lambda school makes solid money returns right now is the INS blockades foreign gladiators of STEM from coming in and slaughtering the salaries of US passport holding STEM workers.

There is no company that pays you to be fit, there’s no money in it. The monetary returns are subjective.
-
You should talk to insurance companies about that

I don't, because then the consumer of the service has less skin in the game, mentally. Both parties need to be equally invested for this to work.

People tend to prioritize having a job/income over personal fitness. Also fitness endeavors have much longer gratification cycles -- could take years to see any perceptible improvements in quality of life. A job usually starts paying you within weeks of start date.

This is a great idea if you’d like to consistently ask a professional to show up, give their best effort, and not get paid for weeks/months/years. There are many factors that go into losing weight and exercising consistently is just one piece of the puzzle.

I did think about applying the Lambda model to PT certification/education. It would be difficult bc trainers don’t make nearly as much money as developers.

Fee only financial advisors kinda work this way. They make a percentage of your portfolio. This is why I tell everyone I know to seek them out over commission type funds.

Building on this, what about an advisory model that increases as as AUM goes up and decreases as AUM goes down? Capped of course but incentives aligned.

MyBodyTutor offers 30 day money back. Virtual model like Lambda school but for fitness. I tried it on recommendation from
@noahkagan (actually as my boss at the time he offered to pay half of the cost for me!) and it worked, I lost ~8 pounds in a month.https://www.mybodytutor.com/Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

There’s 23 hours a day for someone to sabotage the 1 hour with a trainer through a trash diet. The trainer isn’t as strong of a driver of success in fitness as a coding instructor is for learning job skills.
