And yes, we're ready to invest even up to millions of dollars to make that work. Might be one location, might be several smaller locations distributed across the US. We're working toward a place where anyone can just show up and we'll take care of everything else.

I'm working on 3 student housing dev deals near SacState. I love the idea of student housing and/or co-living and/or micro units in Midtown/Downtown Sacramento and there are several great dev sites/CRE opps. How many students are we talking?!
-
30-100 to start with, would grow quickly from there. Do have free office space in downtown Sac, have been talking to McClellan etc
-
Seems achievable. Office space that I represent isn't free but there are very economic options avail (example - $0.75/SF/MG for 4,000SF in OldSac). I like the central city due to its vibrancy and trajectory. Much cooler overall experience. Do you ever make it out this way?
-
Not bad, depends on cost to convert to living. And ya I come out now and then.
-
I thought you were talking about needing some office space to supplement the 30-100 students. There are still def some interesting creative options we could come up w including a 15ksf bldg in Midtown avail for next few years before future 100ksf dev.
soon? -
No we have office space, we need living space

Honestly if your school was housed in a decommissioned navy ship that would be a huge incentive for me.
-
I would love that

Try buying churches. Memberships declining, tough to pay mortgages. I’ve seen a few for sale in West Michigan over the past year. May be a scaleable model across the US if churches going out of business is a national trend.

Inspiring to see how quickly you move and how outside the box you think. Those two together are rare.

Hmm. It *might* be worth contacting Intel campus in Hillsboro, West of Portland -- I would imagine they have some sort of housing coordinator. It's an enormous campus, with a ton of (light rail to Portland-accessible) housing in the area for employees. They might have ideas.
