i’m just curious because i don’t know much about the landscape—do lambda school’s terms differ at all from similar other programs? is it standard?

Generally speaking our minimum salary is higher and our term lengths are shorter, and some don't have a repayment cap which is pretty nasty IMO. We would love for income share agreements to be (fairly) regulated. It's a huge win for people to get an education without the risk.

Frankly most everyone in the industry would tell you our terms are insane and we'll lose money (we're also on average a much longer course, pay more per student, have more expensive instructors), but we are optimizing for quality and think that will work out

yeah, i think credibility will get you a long way. i've had a lot of friends look at bootcamps and wonder which will be worth the (huge!) investment of time and capital and which are pretty much scams.
