Yes, that is possible, but structuring it any other way is very confusing. The good thing is software engineers rarely make as little as $50k

I made $52k at my last software engineering job and that's only because I negotiated. They offered me 50. It'd be nice if a bootcamp certificate got you an eng job at a high paying tech corp but I think a lot of people end up in situations more like mine.
