GA is offering an income sharing program! Perhaps they are feeling the heat from programs like @LambdaSchool pic.twitter.com/tpI03StW8K

Prediction: If you're a for-profit school that doesn't offer an income share agreement or suck on the teet of federally-backed student loans there's a 95% chance you're dead in the next 5 years. A huge win for everyone.

Question: can income shares be set up as private vehicles for financial aid? i.e could my class of 2012 class contribute to a pool that paid out loans that were then paid back via income share for some reasonable return?

Don't underestimate the systemic sticky problems, like convincing millions that loans are OK and normal. Or "pedigree" / "Since 1940". Rooting for y'all. They'll feel a lot of pressure in 5 years no doubt, but death is going to be a drawn out battle.

Every accredited school has access to student loans. I'm not betting the university of phoenix is dead in 5 years. Unfortunately.

There is going to be a huge shift for sure. But don't you think its going to take longer since the size is huge and it takes time for this industry to change. And for student behaviour to change that drastically as well over a base that big.
