The first is a crash course in stoicism, which I’d describe as a model for thinking that’s nearly opposite to the way the average frustrated American thinks. The second is a discourse on Adlerian psychology, which I’d describe as the best way to rid your life of excuses

I’m thoroughly butchering both descriptions - just read them. And they’re books I would recommend reading 100% of. Neither is very long.
