        This is how I know I’d make a bad VC. If those coconuts from AirBnB had approached me with the idea of ‘people letting strangers stay in their house’ I’d have laughed so hard it would have needed corrective surgery. Kudos to the visionaries.

        Well I think you have to think of FB minus WhatsApp and IG, maybe $300 billion, still large. I think you could have gotten to big numbers if you saw over a billion users and the impact of the mobile.

        I'd guess that most $500 Billion companies had inauspicious founding stories, and any that looked like they WOULD become worth that much never did.
