It’s easy to take a team to a 100 at Goog, MS, FB, especially today. It is all about when and what you did. What processes were new to company? What products were done that hadn’t been done? Where did revenue/funding come from? Was team “central” or a hobby? What was “scaled”?

Naval also makes a good point that building large teams was more important in the past, as clouds and other tools have made ICs a lot more productive. Think it was he who mentioned that Goog/FB could run with half the staff today, but management just don't know which half...
