Real Apple discounts start at 250k of product, but we have separate internal funds we can apply to large deals. Leasing is also a great way to go. I'd be happy to provide a quote, just let me know the exact configuration

This is for students, so cheapest laptop with 8GB Ram, SSD, 1.8 GHz (ideally 2+)

Do you think you could go with Chromebooks or are they not functional enough for what you need

Wait...Apple doesn't have a charitable discount program specific to schools/educators??? They must, you would think.
-
They have school discounts but we don’t qualify

If you just need it for iOS developer stuff, the company I worked for used to buy Mac minis, presumably because of price.
-
Ya, but then I need to figure out monitors + peripherals at scale too, and shipping

MacHall and Other World Computing are both reputable. What are you looking for - or new, used, refurbished?
-
Please feel free to DM us! We will be happy to work with you.

Doesn’t matter

Pretty sure Apple barely gives a paltry corporate discount. Buying every single one off Craigslist for the foreseeable future would probably be cheaper
-
Buying off Craigslist is fraught with peril, especially for a reputable business. You might be on the hook for buying something that was previously pilfered, not to mention it can be time-consuming (what’s the wasted time worth?) and possibly dangerous.

Says the Apple employee

-
In this case, it’s coming from my personal experience having been there, done that with Craigslist. I’ve dealt with all of the above, and even some things unspeakably worse.

-
Just giving you a hard time. Refurbished is probably the right move
