Why won’t people understand that we need more housing? The Bay Area has changed and we need to deal with that. 650k new jobs and only 150k new housing units.

The official policy of most cities is to never build so much new housing that existing homeowners won't continue to see steady, if not massive, appreciation due to limited inventory. It's gross.

Exactly. Either you put legal and political effort into building new housing, don’t allow the city or businesses within it to grow, or accept higher housing prices. Choose one.
