Implying that Asians Americans "overrepresent" compared to their proportion in the general population to justify the rebuttal is laughable. Too many Asian Americans work fucking hard all their lives to be in that position to dominate the applicant pool.

Also, "overrepresent" line of thinking is very ironical from people who claim decisions shouldn't be made based on race & personal feelings about a race. This is the racial quota system that they should want to oppose. I agree they shouldn't be made based on race.

College admissions committees often do consider gender balance when constructing a class. A purely test based admissions policy would result in a class with few Americans, along with a host of other absurdities.
