I don't actually disagree with any of this, but I wonder why people that are not real estate investors would see #2 as a bad thing.

. We have rent control/income control on housing in some cities, and similar to existing rent-control in SF, you further limit inventory and movement if you implement this. Ecosystem to move through different types of housing (family etc) gets locked up.2 replies 0 retweets 7 likes -
why would I care about limiting inventory of homes that I could never possibly afford to buy or rent?

Put simply: If there's a lot of expensive housing rich people will move into the expensive housing there instead of moving in less expensive housing and pricing out poor people
