Not even for the people/network you met there?
-
This is what I grapple with most—I met my girlfriend and many of my best friends at college. I think your opinion is probably the prevailing one among smart people I know in technology. Yet lots met cofounders and/or loved ones at college.

I know you think about this a lot. But if you can’t replace the secondary effects of college (which are usually the primary lasting value in your life) you can’t really compare the two experiences on a level playing field.
-
Who would you have met in those years if you weren’t there?
-
I don’t know. Who did you meet while you were there?
-
A lot of people. I’ve met just as many since I graduated, though
-
I mean important people in your life. Who are the most important people in your life and where did you meet them? I met them in college, I think a lot of people who share your opinion did too, and I think it’s generally undervalued.
