Are those effect sizes Cohen's D? And if so, why are they all perfectly round values? The magnitude also seems very high.
Yes, and they’re rounded. It’s from the same wiki article that Patrick linked, but Bloom basically found a dozen things that objectively work but that are extremely difficult because they break the model of time and ratio that make schooling relatively affordable at scale
