1. Campuses aren't even necessary. The only upside is the campus-life certain colleges offer. Id just live next to Stanford and study for free on coursera, udacity or lambda. 2. Education is a right, not a luxury and definitely not a business. College should be free.

One of the most important part of campuses are peers. I feel, with the whole online thing, we seem to be ignoring how important ‘friends made while learning’ are for later phases of career/life.

Those same friends can be made online

Also the model is “Make a $100 billion market into a $10 billion market and own all of it.” not “Make a $100 billion market into a $10 billion market split 300 ways.”

And lack of moat. Good execution isn’t considered a moat and not obvious that software plays a key role.

Fact that VCs highly value institutional pedigree (tons of Harvard, Stanford, Wharton partners) feels like an emotional hindrance. Seems hard to fall in love with a concept that is completely opposite your own experience and what your industry values.pic.twitter.com/ERCp7C5bJV

3. Who even cares if I have a degree or not, as long as i have a skillset? It is just a paper that says I passed my tests, which only proves I have the capacity to learn. Dream- College should only be tests. If I pass all the tests college throws at me, I should get the "degree"

#4 moat or lack thereof #5 hiring market. Most alternatives are much shorter skills based programs. Most companies are not set up to hire 19 year olds in corporate roles.

#1 seems a big impediment to a trade school start up. And certification bias which favor incumbents. Certification can be overcome though.
