Heard the United States describes a very apt way: “It solves problems no one else can figure out how to solve and has unsolvable problems everyone else has solved”

The population, size, freedoms, and diverse culture of the US makes it WAY more complicated to "solve" our "unsolvable" problems than the tiny countries we get compared to.

Your problems really aren't at all different. The biggest problem is that the American dream leads to so many temporarily embarrassed millionaires that you let the actually wealthy choose policy that suits them best while screwing over the rest of you.

Our problem is we have too many people living on the dole. The Social programs aren’t sustainable to this many.

And that’s likely to keep going. It’s a big, beautiful, rugged, risk-taking, imperfect place.

Being generally the world leader in fields like rocketry/space research, the internet, and several other technologies generally spring to mind.

Many countries were great at developing new technology long before the US even existed, and still are. Being “good at technology” isn’t something the USA “discovered” that somehow the rest of civilisation hadn’t figured out.
