The sad thing about these small country towns is I still see reminders of the bushfires that decimated so much last year. Houses and shops in an entire town just gone. Lakes pitch black with ash. The beach covered in charcoal. Reminders that this government just doesn’t care.

As the Budget nears, we remind of our Pre-Budget Submission. We're still the only arts sector with no federal support. With help, together we'll build a billion dollar industry that hires thousands.

The seaweed and matcha one was great, but I ended up going with the gumleaf smoked ice cream instead

Toonstruck is a bit of a curio, the cast is great, but the game itself requires a lot of “toon logic” thinking for the puzzles, which can be much harder than you think. Also, the Cutifier plans are all based on English puns or idioms, you’re screwed if you don’t speak English!

Also Maniac Mansion, which I finally got round to starting last week thanks to some assistance from a friend. It’s old and has its quirks, but I’ve started to understand that you can “learn” the mansion and events pretty quickly, it’s like a little puzzle diorama!

A fun list of adventure games from ! Discworld Noir is a great choice, I loved how they combined the inventory and dialogue choices into notebook topics. It made for some very clever puzzles.
