Auschwitz was full of horrible pain & suffering documented in the accounts of survivors. Inventing a fake game of human chess for is not only dangerous foolishness & caricature. It also welcomes future deniers. We honor the victims by preserving factual accuracy.

Agree about the point. Nevertheless a movie can modify reality as it is a movie! In my opinion, after i watched the first premiere in tv with my son, i feel that the series will increase interest about #Holocaust and all #Jews persecution.

In other words, you say: "a movie can lie about reality as it is just a movie'. Here we absolutely disagree. This is disrespectful and dangerous.
The point is: nazists could have made this additional atrocity? After what i read and what i have seen the answer is yes. So, end.

Invent an non-existing camp and Nazi atrocities perpetrated there. If you however use a real place, respect it's history and suffering of its victims.

It’s just weird when the death camp has opinions, as if masquerading as the voices of dead people from beyond the grave isn’t disrespectful enough.
This is why is a much better Museum.

I didn’t say that. In movie world there are always some “forced fact” which the authors think could help interest about the trama. I have fully respect for your job and your point but sometimes you should try to see the things from other point of view and maybe discover surprises

So Vonnegut's short story is bad, too?

So should the makers of the 300 movies go back and apologize for being so historically inaccurate? If anything you should be mad at fakeumentaries for giving the people a way to say real documentaries are all fake.

Do you even live in this world. Have you read a book. Art and literature, at their core, interpret, highlight and reconstruct history. Again your interests and pain are no greater than anyone else’s pain. PERIOD
I thought the filmmaker made a good case for what he wrote. And I appreciate your role in keeping the historical record. IMO, both contributions are important.

Agree to the fullest.Let's see if to create a movie on Pearl Harbor, for example, we altered those facts..how would it come out?I spoke with Eva Kor: I cried when she died. These movie is not like "Inglorious Basterds" but a pitiful attempt at banking on a unforgivable tragedy
Well, first of all a movie can show everything what is possible by imagination. If historical correctness is a target of a movie like Schindler’s List, there won’t be any doubt about doing fake scenes. It all depends on point of view and target of a movie.
